Behind every successful business is a unique story, and for Oasis Prime, that story begins over 25 years ago with our founder, Lee Morris. Lee embarked on his journey in the mortgage and financial protection industry with a clear vision: to empower individuals and families to achieve their property dreams and secure their financial future.

 

Lee’s career path wasn't initially defined by a grand ambition for financial services; as he candidly puts it, "survival was my aspiration" in the early days. He began his career in regular banking branch sales before being approached to join a national sales team dedicated to selling mortgages. This experience provided a solid foundation, but it was his desire to offer a broader range of products and truly independent advice that led him to establish LM Mortgages. He wanted to solve the problem of limited options for clients, ensuring they had access to the best solutions for their unique needs.

 

Over the past quarter-century, Lee has navigated a dramatically changing financial landscape. He witnessed the significant shift from a non-regulated mortgage environment to one requiring much stricter regulations, including rigorous proof of income, detailed outgoings, and thorough credit scoring. Adapting to these changes, while continuously expanding his product knowledge, became a testament to his resilience and commitment.

 

At the heart of Lee's business philosophy is a simple yet profound principle: "doing the right thing" for every client. He believes in truly listening to understand what clients want, rather than imposing his own preferences. This client-first approach extends beyond just securing a mortgage; Lee strongly emphasises the critical importance of comprehensive financial protection, covering potential challenges like job loss, serious illness, or even death. His meticulous nature – what he affectionately calls his "control freak" tendency – ensures that every client's needs are thoroughly understood, leading to truly tailored solution.

 

This dedication has allowed Lee to build a thriving business largely through client referrals. While initial success was measured by financial reward, Lee's definition has evolved over time. He recounts a particularly memorable client story where he helped a cancer patient discover they had critical illness cover they weren't even aware of, significantly resolving their financial issues during a challenging time. This experience, among many others, deeply resonates with his commitment to making a real difference in people's lives.

 

For Lee, "home" isn't just a property, it's a true belief of security, comfort and the bedrock of a family's life. This personal understanding fuels his dedication to helping others secure their own havens. He values work-life balance and cherishes time with his family , understanding that true "peace of mind" comes from knowing you've done the absolute right thing for your client.

 

Now, with a planned rebrand, Lee is excited to freshen up the business image and attract a new generation of clients, particularly younger demographics. He recognises the pivotal role digital platforms like Instagram and Facebook will play in connecting with new referrals and sharing the brand's story. Ultimately, Lee aims to continue growing the business while steadfastly maintaining the quality and personal service that has defined it for over two decades. Serving clients across Alderley Edge, Bramhall, Poynton, Wilmslow and Macclesfield has been the focus areas but through many referrals over the years, many clients are UK wide.
